Sausage Balls are the perfect appetizer for parties and gatherings especially around the holidays. If you have a favourite dip then you will love these Keto Sausage Balls. I always find it hard when everyone has chips to dip, and I'm left with only carrots and they aren't even filling, or low in carbs either. These will give you something solid to snack on with your favourite dip or even eat plain because they're that good!
I absolutely love recipes that you can just dump all the ingredients into a bowl and mix, that's my kind of easy. And these Keto Sausage Balls are exactly that, super easy. The hardest part was trying not to eat too many as they came off the pans from the oven. But I did have to find a good dip for guests, so of course taste testing was necessary right?
I found that these Keto Sausage Balls are more moist than regular sausage balls making them that little bit better. If you happen to be worried about picky guests – They won't know there is no flour or baking mix in them. Just start with a great uncooked breakfast sausage, I found raw pre formed sausage patties in our big grocery store here and they tasted great! I enjoyed these with a salsa ranch dip but they would also go with plain ranch, or a nice honey mustard dip and enjoy!
Happy Low Carbing!

Ingredients
- 3 cups ground breakfast sausage meat (1 pound)
- 2 egg yolks only
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup old cheddar cheese (grated) (90 grams)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (45 grams)
- 1 tbsp chives - fresh or dried
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 clove fresh pressed garlic
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
- Mix for about 1-2 minutes on low. It is easiest to have a stand mixer do all the work if you have one. If not mix by hand until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Use a 1 and 1/2 tbsp cookie scoop if you have one to evenly portion out the meat onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Once the sheet is full pick up each and roll into firm little balls and space evenly on the baking sheet. If you do not have a cookie scoop (that's okay - I JUST bought one this year and use it for everything!) Just roll balls about the size of a ping pong ball.
- Place into the preheated oven and bake for about 20 -25 minutes. They will just start to be golden brown on the outside and a minimum internal temp of 160 degrees Fahrenheit is reached.
- Place on a plate with toothpicks in them for your guests to enjoy!
